Punjab & Sind Bank notified cut off marks for interview which is scheduled to start from 9 July 2012 for recruitment of 900 General Banking Officers in Scale-I (Probationary Officers). The cut off for interview was notified on 27 June 2012 for different category candidates.
As per the notice by Punjab & Sind Bank, the cut off for interview for different category candidates will be as follows
- General Category (Gen): 165
- Schedule Caste (SC): 152
- Schedule Tribe (ST): 135
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 160
- Hearing Impairment (HI): 114
- Visually Impairment (VI): 127
- Orthopaedically Challenged (OC): 148
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the interview which will be of 100 marks wherein minimum qualifying marks are 40 for General category and 35 marks for reserved category. The final merit list will be prepared by clubbing the marks of written test as per IBPS score card (85%) & interview (15%).
The bank has not revealed name or roll number of shortlisted candidates for Interview however emails/ sms are being sent to them intimating their selection for Personal Interview.
Punjab & Sind Bank was established in the 1908 by leading figures such as Bhai Vir Singh, Sir Sunder Singh Majitha and Sardar Tarlochan Singh to help the weaker sections of society. The bank is headquartered in New Delhi and presently has 1000 branches and offices spread throughout India, almost 400 in Punjab state.
