Reserve Bank of India, Bangalore issued notification inviting applications from eligible ex- servicemen to fill up 7 posts of Security Guards (Staff - Class IV). Interested ex- servicemen should send their applications in the prescribed format along with copies of required certificates/testimonials to ‘The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Bangalore so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 30 April 2014.

1. Security Guard: 7 posts
Pay and Allowances: Initial starting pay of Rs.6350 + A.S.P. Rs.170 per month in the scale of Rs.6350‐220‐7230‐260‐8010‐300‐8910‐400‐9710‐500‐11710‐680‐13750 (20 years) + allowances as admissible from time-to-time.
Total emoluments: Rs.15545 per month (at the starting scale).
Eligibility Criterion: Only ex–servicemen residing in Karnataka are eligible to apply.
Age limit: 25 years (as on 1 April 2014)
(Upper age limit is relax-able up to 28 years for OBC category candidates and up to 30 years for SC/ST category candidates)
Educational Qualifications:
Minimum: Xth Std pass. (An Ex‐Serviceman having passed Army Special Certificate of Education will be deemed to be a Matriculate.)
Maximum: under graduate.
NOTE: Graduates/ degree holders are not eligible to apply.
Experience required: Ex‐servicemen with proper military background who have been actually in military service and have experience of handling arms and ammunition in the military.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written test/ Interview.
Only short-listed candidates will be called for the written test/ Interview.
Candidates would be required to produce original certificates/testimonials etc. at the time of interview.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible ex- servicemen should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with copies of required certificates/testimonials by ordinary post to ‘The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, Bangalore 560001 so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 30 April 2014.
Application can also be deposited in the box kept at the entrance of the Reserve Bank of India’s Bangalore office on any working day between 10.30 a.m. and 02.30 p.m. on week days (except Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays) till the prescribed last date.
On the envelope containing the application, candidates must super-scribe “Application for the post of Security Guard”.
One envelope should contain application of one candidate only.
