RCIBSD, Sikkim Notified Recruitment to the Posts of 02 fellowships 2014

The Regional Centre of Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable Development (RCIBSD), Sikkim established under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India to utilize the rich bio-resources of the Sikkim Himalayas through scientific interventions for economic benefit of the region, issued notification inviting applications for award of 2 fellowships – one Studentship [Bio-informatics] and one Traineeship [Bio-informatics] – available for the Bio-informatics research program of IBSD at Sikkim. Interested candidates should send their applications to RCIBSD office so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 20 June 2014 (during office hours).

Vacancy details

1. Studentship [Bio-informatics]: 1 post

Duration: 6 months

Stipend: Rs.5000 per month

Qualifications: Pursuing M.Sc. in Bio-informatics/ Bio-technology/ Environmental Science/ Life Science/ Computer Science. Knowledge of Computer languages -- C, HTML, Java, Perl, MySQL, PHP, Oracle, VB, SQL, Web Server;

2. Traineeship [Bio-informatics]: 1 post

Duration: 6 months

Stipend: Rs.5000 per month

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Bio-informatics/ Bio-technology/ Environmental Science/ Life Science/ Computer Science; Working experience on bio-informatics tools; Knowledge of Computer languages -- C, HTML, Java, Perl, MySQL, PHP, Oracle, VB, Web Server;

NOTE: Age of the candidates would be considered as on 20 June 2014.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.

Only short listed candidates will be called for the Interview. They will be intimated about the Interview by sending an e-mail at admin.ibsd@nic.in.

The positions are purely on temporary basis.
