SBI SO Recruitment Exam Preponed, Call letter released at sbi.co.in, Online Exam on 20 January

Admit cards have been released for SBI SO exam 2017. Candidates who have registered for the same can download the online exam call letter at the official portal of SBI at sbi.co.in. The examination will be held on 20 January.

State Bank of India will conduct online examination as a part of the selection process for Specialist Officer post. Exam call letter for the same has been released.

Candidates should note that SBI had earlier scheduled the SO recruitment examination on 25 November 2016. Later the examination date was changed to 22 January 2017. However due to the examination schedule of UGC NET, the Bank had to change the examination date further.

Finally, the examination date has been shifted to an earlier date i.e. on 20 January.

SBI has adopted strict selection procedure for contractual and other posts. For contractual ones, the selection will be by shortlisting and interview. For all posts other than contractual ones, the selection will be done on the basis of online test and interview. The test will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna & Thiruvananthapuram centres.

The online test will assess the knowledge of candidates in reasoning, quantitative aptitude and English language. The test will also include 50 marks of professional knowledge assessment.

Except Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, other papers will be of qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. The questions will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language).

To be eligible for being short-listed for interview, candidate have to score equal to or above the Cut-off marks to be decided by the Bank for the PK test, besides scoring equal to or above the Minimum qualifying marks in other tests.
