The circular issued with the intention to make the functioning of the schools more transparent. The website should contain information regarding the school infrastructure, fee structure, management members and teachers’ salary details. Before 15 September 2013 the school had to bring up-to-date their annual report as well.
The first circular was sent by the CBSE on 18 October 2012 and then on 5 December 2011. According to the CBSE official, tough action will be taken by the Board if the schools will not follow the instructions or fail to update the information on their websites.
