SERB, New Delhi Notified Recruitment for 15 Scientist Posts 2014

Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi issued notification inviting applications from eligible and interested Indian citizens for recruitment to 15 posts of Scientist 'E' (6 posts) and Scientist 'C' (9 posts)  on Deputation/ immediate Absorption/ Direct Recruitment basis. Interested candidates should send their complete applications along with copies of all the required certificates to the SERB office till 30 July 2014,

Vacancy Details

1. Scientist 'E': 6 posts

Pay Scale: PB-4 of Rs.37400-67000 with GP of Rs.8700 per month

Age limit: (as on 30 July 2014)

Minimum: 35 years

Maximum: 56 years

Qualifications: Officers holding analogous post on regular basis; Doctorate Degree in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences;  Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Medicine; at-least 10 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic institutions/ Science and Technology organizations/ Scientific activities and services, of which 5 years should be in administering, planning, development and coordination of Science and Technology Programmers with 4 years’ service in the Grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 or equivalent.

2. Scientist 'C': 9 posts

Pay Scale: PB-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with GP of Rs.6600 per month

Age limit: 45 years (as on 30 July 2014)

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine; 4 years’ experience in Research & Development in Industrial & Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations; Doctorate degree in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences OR Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/  Medicines.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.

Only short-listed candidates will be called for the Interview.

Candidates will have to produce all original certificates at the time of interview.

A panel of candidates will be prepared from the candidates selected after interview. The panel will remain valid for 12 months (1 year) from the date of declaration of results.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid Second AC railway fare for the shortest route.

On the envelope carrying the applications, candidates should super-scribe "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF____________."
