South Eastern Railway Notified Recruitment for 12 Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ Posts 2014

Divisional Railway Manager (Personnel), South Eastern Railway, issued notification inviting application for recruitment to 12 posts – 2 Group ‘C’ posts and 10 Group ‘D’ posts -- against Scouts & Guides Quota. Interested candidates should send their applications to the designated office(s) so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 15 December 2014 till 1800 hours.

Vacancy Details
1. Scouts & Guides Quota vacancies: 12 posts

a. Group ‘C’: 2 posts (over South Eastern Railway)
Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/ Rs.2000 per month
Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 30 years
[Maximum age limit for OBC candidates is 33 years and for SC/ ST candidates is 35 years.]
Educational Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent.
For Technical categories: Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by SCVT/ NCVT.

b. Group ‘D’ (erstwhile): 10 posts
Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 per month
(2 posts each in Kharagpur Division, Adra Division, Chakradharpur Division, Ranchi Division & Central District- HQ/ GRC)
Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 33 years
[Maximum age limit for OBC candidates is 36 years and for SC/ ST candidates is 38 years.]
Educational Qualifications: Class 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC.

Scouts & Guides qualifications: President’s Scout/ Guides/ Rangers/ Rovers OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder OR a Pre-HWB trained Scout leade/ advanced trained Guide/ Leader/ Captain; should have been an active member of Scouts & Guides Organization for at least 3 years and continue to be active; should have attended at least one event at National Level and one or two events at State Level OR have a good record of participation in Scouts/ Guides activities at Unit/ District Level.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Written Test, assessment of Scouts & Guides qualifications, qualifying the Personality Test/ Interview & Medical Examination.
