Southern Railway Posts Eligibility and Age Limit

The eligibility criteria and age limit have been released by the examination authority. Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to apply for the posts. The candidate should be 

(a) A President's Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger (or) Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section

(b) Should have been an active member of a Scout organisation for the last 5 years.

(c) Should have attended two events at the National Level or All Indian Railway's

level and Two Events at the state level

Educational Qualification: The required educational qualifications vary as per the level. Candidates are advised to go through the official notice for required educational qualification

Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years whereas for Level 2, the required maximum age is 30 years and for Level 1, it should not be more than 33 years. However, relaxation of age will be given to reserved category candidates.

Southern Railway Selection Procedure

The candidate will be selected based on the written test and participation in rallies as listed below

Part A - Written Test 

Part B - Marks on Rally Certificates. 

1. Participation/service rendered in National Events or Jamboree (including All Indian Railway Events)
2. Participation/service rendered in State Events/Rallies
3. Specialised Scout/Guides course organised at National/State/All Indian Railways level
4. Participation in District Rallies
