SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has outlined the eligibility criteria in the official SSC CGL notification 2024. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the SSC CGL age limit and other requirements before applying for the post to avoid cancellation of their candidature. SSC CGL Eligibility 2024
Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 for filling up various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Government of India. Candidates can submit SSC CGL application form for 17727 vacancies from June 24 to July 24, 2024, only at the official website.
However, they must ensure that they enter only valid details regarding their SSC CGL eligibility criteria. In brief, any graduate who is 18 years or older is eligible to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 recruitment process. If it is found that they have entered incorrect or false information in the application at any stage of the recruitment process, it will lead to the rejection of their candidature.
SSC CGL Age Limit
Fulfilling the SSC CGL age limit is compulsory in order to be considered eligible for the recruitment process. The age limit will be calculated as of 01.08.2024. The age of candidates must be between 18 years and 32 years in order to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam. The age limit requirements for various posts are shared below.
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08- 2006 to be eligible for the posts for which age limit is 18-27 years.
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08- 2004 for the posts for which the age limit is 20-30 years.
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08- 2006 for the posts for which the age limit is 18-30 years.
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08- 2006 for the posts for which the age limit is 18-32 years.

SSC CGL Age Limit Relaxation 2024
There shall be certain relaxation provided in the upper age limit of the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. However, they will be required to submit their caste certificate to prove their claims. The SSC CGL age limit relaxation is shared below for all the categories.

SSC CGL Eligibility Qualification
Another important parameter of the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is educational qualification. As per the official notification, the minimum SSC CGL qualification is a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university. Can final year students apply for SSC CGL 2024 Exam?
As per SSC CGL eligibility criteria, candidates who have appeared in the final year of their graduation can also apply for this recruitment drive. However, they must possess essential qualifications on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2024.

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the requirements of Physical Standards, Physical Tests and Medical Standards before submitting their preferences/ options. The next parameter of fulfilling the SSC CGL Eligibility is qualifying in the physical test round in order to move ahead in the recruitment process. SSC CGL Nationality
The next important factor of SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is the nationality of the candidates. If you fulfil any of the following nationality criteria, then you are eligible for the post. A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
