  • Sub-Inspectors (Executives) (Male): 324 vacancies (Open 260, Departmental 32, Ex-Servicemen 32)
  • Sub-Inspectors (Executives) (Female): 11 vacancies

  • Opening date for online registration: 9 June 2012
  • Last date for online registration (Part I): 4 July 2012 upto 5 pm
  • Last date for online registration (Part II)/ sending application: 6 July 2012 upto 5 pm
  • Date for All India Examination: 19 August 2012

Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Delhi Police

Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent

Note: Male Candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor Cycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance & Standard Tests.

Age limit (as on 1 August 2012): Between 20 and 25 years

Pay Scale: Pay Band 2, Rs 9300-34800; Grade Pay of Rs 4200

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Delhi Police

The candidate's overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests.

  • Written Examination

    a)     
    Part I
    (200 marks, 200 questions, 10 am to 12 noon)

    Part A: General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks)
    Part B: General Knowledge & General Awareness (50 marks)
    Part C: Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)
    Part D: English Comprehension (50 marks)

    b)      Part II: English Language & Comprehension (200 marks, 200 questions, 10 am to 12 noon)
  • Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
  • Interview/ Personality Test

How to Apply for Recruitment in Delhi Police

The application must be submitted online only on the SSC's website or http://www.sscregistration.sifyitest.com/ssc_subinspector_jun1/index.php The filling of online application contains two parts:

Part I Registration: In Part I Registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate shall be prompted to check the details and make any correction in the application. The application procedure is incomplete without part II registration.

Part II Registration: Part II registration requires filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ Women candidate and for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 100. The fee is payable either through SBI Challan or net banking through State Bank of India for on-line application.
