Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’. The minimum qualification required for the exam is intermediate/12th pass or equivalent.
The Examination is scheduled to be held on 29 December 2013, and will comprise a Written Objective Type Examination followed by a Skill Test in Stenography which require 100 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m for Grade ‘D’ stenographer. Only those candidates who qualify the Written Exam will be called for a skill test subjected to check their skills in stenography.
The Written Objective Type Exam will be in the pattern as shown below:

The exam paper will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Except Part III, the questions will be set in both English and Hindi medium (for Part-I & IV), and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
