The Supreme Court on 26 May 2011 dismissed the petition filed by students who could not appear for All India Engineering Entrance Exam 2011 as the paper had been rescheduled after it was leaked in Uttar Pradesh.

Vacation bench of justices G S Singhvi and C K Prasad refused to interfere in the examination process as any fresh examination would affect the more than 9 lakh students who had taken the AIEEE.

CBSE PRO Ms Rama Shankar said the results will be declared soon but could not confirm the exact date. The result is expected in the last week of May or in the first week of June 2011.
