Tata Institute of Fundamental Research invited applications for recruitment of 10 various posts. The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) was founded on 1 June 1945. It is a research institution in India dedicated to basic research in mathematics and the sciences. TIFR conducts research primarily in natural sciences, mathematics, biological sciences and theoretical computer science and is considered one of the outstanding research centres in India.

Age Limit            

• The upper age should be below 35 years for Post 1 & 2 as on 1 January 2014.
• The upper age should be below 33 years for Post 6 & 8 as on 1 January 2014.
• The upper age should be below 31 years for Post 4 & 7 as on 1 January 2014
• The upper age should be below 30 years for Post 5 as on 1 January 2014.
• The upper age should be below 28 years for Post 3 as on 1 January 2014.

Educational Qualification

• Scientific Officer (D): ME OR M.Tech in Electronics & Communications or Telecommunication or Electrical.
• Medical Officer (C): MBBS.
• Scientific Officer (C): B.Tech /B.E. in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Scientific Officer (B): M.Sc in Physics.
• Nurse (A): HSC, Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery, Registered “A” Grade Nurse and Knowledge of use of personal computers & applications.
• Scientific Assistant (B): SSC/HSC and Diploma in Electrical or Electronics & Communications or Computer Science.
• Junior Engineer (B): SSC/HSC and Diploma in Mechanical engineering and Knowledge of use of personal computers & applications.
• Laboratory Assistant (B): SSC or equivalent and 2 years ITI (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electronics with minimum 60% marks or 3 years NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Electronics with minimum 60% marks.

• Scientific Officer (D): Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
• Medical Officer (C): Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
