THAR 2015 – A University Level Technical cum Cultural Fest initiated by RTU

THAR 2015 is the Annual University Level Technical cum Cultural Fest initiated by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The fest comprised of various technical and cultural contests providing opportunity to the young students to showcase their talents and innovative capacity. The Intra-College rounds of the technical and cultural events were held on 27th and 28th February ’15 in the campus and the best students qualified for the zonal level rounds.

Arya College of Engineering & I.T. was privileged to be the Zonal Centre  (Jaipur - Alwar Region ) for organizing the cultural events – Charleston –The Dance Competition, Sapphire – The Personality Contest, Warbler – The Solo Song Competition & Talk It Out- the Debate Competition. The Events were organized on 13^th March, 2015 in the campus. The participating colleges sent their entries event wise. The faculty and students of Arya actively organized the events at their respective venues and participants also exhibited great enthusiasm during the event. The students who qualified in the technical rounds participated in the zonal rounds held at JIEM, Jaipur.

Various colleges from Jaipur-Alwar region sent their participants of cultural events who qualified the Intra College round to compete on a common platform in the Arya Campus. Observers and Judges from RTU, Kota were present to ensure the smooth conduction of the event. The dignitaries from RTU present on the occasion were, Dr. R. Shringi  - Dean, Academics, Dr. B.P. Suneja – Dean, Student Welfare and Dr. Rajeev Rajora – Prof. – Traning & Placement as observers and Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Mukesh Tharani and Dr. Shanti Lal as judges for the different events. The inaugural ceremony was held in Arya Auditorium, New Academic Block. The dignitaries from RTU, Kota and Dr. Anurag Agarwal, Chairman, Arya Group, Dr. Arvind Agarwal, President, Arya Group and Prof. Dhananjaya Gupta, Chairman Governing Body, ACEIT inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. The dignitaries also motivated the students with their valuable words on this occasion. This was followed by the commencement of events at their respective venues. 12 colleges sent 26 participants in Talk It Out- The Debate Competition, 16 entries from 12 colleges were received for Warbler- The Song Competition, 19 participants from 9 colleges participated in Sapphire- The personality contest and 11 entries were received for Charleston – The Dance Competition. The sizzling dance performance, the melodious songs, thought provoking debates and the display of wit and confidence in Sapphire caught the attention of the audience. The students exhibited immense zeal and enthusiasm in the events and the best from each event emerged winners and qualified for the next level to be held at RTU, Kota in April ’15.
