1. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai:
NMIMS was established in 1981. It is a recognized Management institute of the Mumbai University. NMIMS takes admission via its own entrance examination called NMAT. NMIMS is a multi disciplinary University with four campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru & Hyderabad and nine constituent B- schools.
2. Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad:
IMT Ghaziabad was founded in the year 1980. It is a private Business school. IMT is a fully autonomous and offers several post graduate, doctorate and executive education programmes in management. In addition to its main academic programmes IMT also offers distance learning and collaborative programmes. IMT has four campuses but the most popular one is in Ghaziabad. IMT had 130 recruiters coming for the placements and highest domestic CTC was 23 lakhs.
3. Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai:
JBIMS was named after noted industrialist and philanthropist, Jamnalal Bajaj and was founded in the year 1965. JBIMS offers full-time MBA programme. In addition to MMS, the institute offers full-time course of Masters in Finance (MSc Finance), part-time courses and a doctoral PhD programme. 95 companies participated in the placement process at JBIMS in 2014 and 26 lakhs was the highest package offered.
4. National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai:
NITIE was incepted in 1963 and started off as an Industrial Engineering institute, now offers full-time Post Graduate programs in Industrial Engineering,Industrial Management,Manufacturing Management and Industrial Safety And Environmental Management. It is renowned as one of the top 5 Indian schools for supply chain and IT management. What can be better than having a B-School with expertise in specific domain?
5. International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi:
IMI, New Delhi was established in the year 1981 and was India's first corporate sponsored business school. Its other campuses are located in Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar. It is one of the seven B-schools in India to get accreditation from the international accreditation agency, AMBA. In all, 85 companies participated in Final placements at IMI New Delhi to recruit from a batch of 220 students (177 in PGDM and 43 in PGDHRM programme).
6. Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad:
ISB is one of the most reently founded out of the list we have compiled. It was founded in 2001. In 2008, ISB became the youngest institution to find a place in global MBA rankings when it was ranked 20. It rivals IIM A for the crown of the best Business School in India. The Indian School of Business (ISB) has two campuses, one in Hyderabad and a new campus in Mohali. A total of 350 companies contributed around 884 offers, as compared to 819 offers made last year.
