TNPSC has been released for the Combined Civil Services Main Exam (Group 1 services) 2015. The examination is scheduled to be held from 29-31 July 2016.
TNPSC will conduct the Combined Civil Services Main Exam (Group 1 services) as a part of the recruitment process for selecting candidates against 74 vacancies. The vacancies are available at Tamil Nadu Civil Service, Tamil Nadu Police Service, Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes Service and Tamil Nadu Registration Service.
The preliminary examination for TNPSC Combined Civil Services Preliminary Exam (Group 1 services) was held on 08 November 2015.
The Commission has decided on a three stage selection process. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in preliminary, main written and interview. The candidates are allowed to answer the questions either fully in Tamil or fully in English.
The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination is 50 times the number of candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments. The Main Written Examination will be held at Chennai only.
For Main written examination candidates have to deposit Rs 125. Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards Application fee.
