Eligibility Criteria for Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-II Posts
Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
Motor Vehicle Inspector (Grade-II ): SSLC with Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Candidate should be proficient in Tamil and should be physically fit supported by a certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed format.
Experience Required:
Experience of having worked for a period of not less than one year both on vehicles fitted with Petrol Engines and Vehicles fitted with Diesel Engines on a full-time basis in an Automobile workshop which undertakes repairs of Light Motor Vehicles, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles. Must hold a valid driving licence authorising him to drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles. and Must have experience in driving Heavy Transport Vehicles for a Period of not less than six months after obtaining the licence referred to above.
Selection Process for Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-II Posts
Candidates will be selected through the two-stage selection process, which includes OMR based examination and Oral test. OMR based examination will be divided between Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will include 100 questions each from Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering and Paper II will test candidates knowledge in subjects of General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability. The interview will carry 70 marks.

Online applications will be accepted through the official website on or before 13 March 2018. Candidates are required to submit the print out of online application along with the Xerox of relevant documents to the commission's office on or before 25 March 2018.
Application Fee: INR 150 is payable through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card Or Offline at SBI branches. In order to pay offline application fee candidates are required to chose the option for same at the time of form submission.
