    Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commision has notified to conduct the UPPCS Prelims Exam on 28th Oct 2018. This will be the first time that the UPPCS Prelims paper will be have negative marking. There will be 150 Questions in the UPPCS Prelims Exam and the candidates are required to solve the paper in the stipulated time of two hours.

    UPPCS Prelims Exam will be conducted in two sessions. In the Morning session, General Studies Paper I will be conducted and in the evening session General Studies Paper II will be conducted. The General Studies Paper II conducted in the second session. The General Studies II is only of qualifying nature.

    The merit of the UPPCS Prelims exam has been on the rise in the last three-four years. But, due to the introduction of negative marking from this year, it is anticipated that the Merit will reduce to a new low. So it will be very difficult this year to anticipate the final cut-off the UPPCS Prelims Paper.

To counter the negative marking, the candidates need to formulise a strategy so that better score can be achieved in the UPPCS Prelims Exam.
