Many universities have initiated their admission procedure for the present academic season including private universities such as Ashoka Universtiy, Sonipat and Christ University, even before the students are done with their final papers of twelfth grades. These private universities don’t admit students just on the basis of marks and thus have started the admission procedure. Many public universities in Delhi such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia and Ambedkar University too have started the admission procedure, even before the class XII results are out.
Ashoka University has a four round admission process and the first round for the same has already begun. Throughout the rounds the candidates will have to submit statements and on spot essay writing and interview. The fourth round will commence in the end of June as the final admission will be made. Christ University has started the admission process in December and Amity University will advertise about the same in February. A common written examination in the university will be held In the month of March which will be followed by personal interview and group discussion in the admission procedure of the university.
JNU language departments will start the application process on 5 February and the online process will continue till 21 March. The admission test for the university will be conducted from 16 to 19 May 2016 after the CBSE board exams get over.
Ambedkar University undergraduate programme registration will begin from the second week of April and last date to apply will be third week of June. There is no entrance test for this university and the admission will be made on the basis of merit of students.
Jamia Millia Islamia Universtiy will also hold its entrance test on the month of April and May to take admission of undergraduate candidates in various courses for the academic session 2016-17.
