UP Police Eligibility 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released a total of 60,244 vacancies for the constable post in Uttar Pradesh (UP). UP Police Constable Age Limit 2024: New Changes
Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued instructions to the Principal Secretary that there shall be a relaxation of 3 years in the age limit of all the categories due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the previous two years. The minimum age shall be 18 years, and the maximum age limit will be 22 years and 25 years for male and female candidates, respectively. Out of the total 60,244 vacancies in the UP police constable service, 24,102 are for unreserved sections, 6,024 for economically weaker sections, 16,264 for other backward classes, 12,650 for scheduled castes, and 1,204 for scheduled tribes, as per the detailed notification. With this, a 20 percent reservation has been given to women out of all the posts. Now, after the announcement, the maximum age limit will be 25 years and 28 years for male and female candidates, respectively.

UP Police Constable Age Limit
As per the UP Police Notification, the candidates' ages will be determined as of July 1, 2023. Male candidates must not be born earlier than July 2, 2001, and after July 1, 2005, and female candidates must not be born earlier than July 2, 1998, and after July 1, 2005, when applying for the post.
There shall be a relaxation in the maximum age limit for the candidates belonging to the other backward classes, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other categories (native residents of Uttar Pradesh only) as per the provisions prescribed in government orders.

- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
