Union Public Service Commission declared the results for the post of Assistant Programmer in Central Bureau of Investigation. The written test for UPSC Assistant Programmer in CBI 2012 was held on 4 March 2012. The successful candidates in written examination were gone through interview round held from 3 September 2012 to 5 September 2012.
The Central Bureau of Investigation was originated towards the Special Police Establishment (SPE) which was set up in 1941 by the Government of India. Over the years, Central Bureau of Investigation established a reputation for impartiality and competence. The demands were made to take up investigation of more cases of conventional crime such as murder, kidnapping, terrorist crime, etc.
