UPSC CDS 2017 Notification Issued, Apply by 02 December @ upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2017 notification for recruitment of 463 vacant positions. The applications are invited till 02 December 2016. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the UPSC CDS 2017 Exam through the prescribed format on or before the last date of application.

UPSC CDS Examination 2017 Details:

• Indian Military Academy, Dehradun— 144th (DE) Course commencing in January, 2018 [Including 19 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders]- 150 Posts
• Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala—Course commencing in January, 2018 Executive (General Service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)]- 45 Posts
• Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in February, 2018 i.e. No. 203 F(P) Course- 32 Posts
• Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai—107^th SSC (Men)(NT) Course commencing in April, 2018- 225 Posts (including 50 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders to NCC Spl. Entry)
• Officers Training Academy, Chennai—21st SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2018- 11 Posts

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CDS Examination 2017:

• For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy— Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
• For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
• Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of two stage selection procedure of examination and interview.
