There were total 32 seats announced for Indian Economic Service whereas total 33 seats for Indian Statistical Service.
Earlier UPSC has declared the results of the written examination of the Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2019 which was held from 28th to 30th June, 2019. 
Successful candidates in the written examination were called for the Interview/Personality Test round which was conducted in December, 2019 and January, 2020. 
Finally selected candidates will work in the Indian Economic Service along with Indian Statistical Service under Group A of the Central Civil Services of the executive branch of the Government of India.
