NDA 1 2025 Recruitment Notification OUT: Apply Online for UPSC NDA NA at upsc.gov.in, 406 Vacancies

A total of 406 vacancies are notified under National Defence Acadamy and National Academy:

NDA

• Army - 208 (including 10 for female candidates)
• Navy - 42 (including 06 for female candidates)
• Air Force - Flying –92 (including 02 for female candidates), Ground Duties (Tech) –18 (including 02 for female candidates) and Ground Duties (Non Tech) –10 (including 02 for female candidates)

NA (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) :

• 36 (including 05 for female candidate)

After completing the exam process, UPSC will release the result for the National Defence Academy (I) Exam. Candidates can download the result from the official website of the commission within 15 to 20 days of the exam. The result will be available in a PDF.

Union Public Service Commission will upload the admit card of the written exam in the first week of April 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on 13 April 2025.

A candidate should be:

• a citizen of India, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

Candidates should do 2.4 km in 15 minutes and perform sit-ups, chin-ups, skipping, push-ups, and rope climbing to specified minimums.

Only unmarried male and female candidates born between 02 July 2005, and 01 July 2008 can apply for the NDA exam.

Yes, there will be negative markings for incorrect answers:

• 0.83 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Mathematics section
• 1.33 marks will be deducted in the English and General Knowledge sections. 

The mode of the exam is offline and will be conducted in both English and Hindi. Candidates can check the subjet-wise questions, marks and duration through the table given below:

The selection for admission into Defence will be done in two stages:

1. Written Exam - Applicants will be called for a written exam which tests their knowledge and aptitude.
2. Intelligence and Personality Test (SSB) - Those who clear the written exam will be called for SSB Interview.

Candidates who clear both stage will be required to submit the Original Certificates along with one photocopy each of the original 10th certificate and 12th certificate.

Union Public Service Commission will release the notification for the National Defence Academy and National Academy Exam 1 2025 on 11 December 2024 (Wednesday) on the official website. The online registration link will also be activated today.

Yes, students who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply to this examination.

Candidates belonging to the General and OBC category will be required to pat Rs. 100/-. However, candidates belong SC/ST and female applicants are not required to pay any fee.
