UPSC NDA & NA (II) Exam 2014: Tips & Strategies

    Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA) examination for 2014. The examination will be held for the admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 134th Course and for the 96th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02nd July 2015.

    The date of examination is scheduled on 28 September 2014. There are 320 posts for NDA.

    Mathematics: Tips

    Mathematics is the first part of the examination for NDA Exam 2014. Mathematics includes all those topics that we had already covered in our Class 12 syllabus. Make a habit to revise the sheet for important mathematics point and formulae. Aspirants do keep a check on previous year question papers to have an idea about the pattern of questions that are set.

    General Ability Test

    Part A: English

    English part comprises of English Language and is one of the interesting sections of the NDA Exam 2014. To crack this section you require having good command over English Language. Increase the count of vocabulary power to score well. At the same time, the candidates should try to enhance their grammatical concepts. Try to go through and solve the comprehensions, cohesions and other basic grammatical section so that you can crack the exam with ease.

    Part B: General Knowledge

    The General Knowledge section is an important section for NDA Exam 2014.  It covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Science, Geography, and Current Events. To get into the topic you have to understand the topics and have to clear up the concepts of every section. Do try to take a look into the newspaper everyday so that you can be updated with the current affairs. Candidates should make it a point to go through the previous year question papers to understand the style and pattern of the questions.
