    Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), India invited applications for Recruitment to 35 Various Posts in Different Central Government Departments/Ministry 2013.     Age limit:

    • The candidates upper age limit should not exceed 50 years for post no. 1, 2, 33 and 34.
    • The candidates upper age limit should not exceed 45 years for post no. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.
    • The candidates upper age limit should not exceed 40 years for post no. 4, 21* (*for 1 post reserved for SC Candidate)
    • The candidates upper age limit should not exceed 38 years for post no. 21*(*for 1 post reserved for OBC Candidate)
    • The candidates upper age limit should not exceed 35 years for post no. 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31 & 32.

    Educational Qualifications:

    1) Professor of Sugar Technology: Degree in Science/Engineering with Associateship in Sugar Technology awarded by National Sugar Institute, Kanpur OR Post Graduate diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.

    2) Assistant Professor of Sugar Engineering: Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent.

    3) Technical Officer (Instrument Engineering): Degree in Instrument Engineering/Instrument Technology/Electronic Engineering /Electronics and Communication Engineering /Electrical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.
    OR M.Sc.  Degree in Physics/Applied Physics with Electronics as a special paper from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.

    4) Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering): Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.

    5) Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Computer Engg/ Information Technology): Degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
    OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent.

    6) Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Electrical): Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

    7) Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Electronics): Master’s Degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as special subject or Degree in Electronics Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

    8) Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

    9) Assistant Director (Official Language): Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level. OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at degree level. OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as a subject at degree level. OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as a subject at degree level. OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at degree level.

    10)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (ANAESTHESIA): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D (Anaesthesiology), M.S (Anaesthesiology), D.A (two years course), F.F.A.R.C.S (by examination) Speciality Board of Anaesthesiology (USA) or equivalent. For equivalence of DNB qualifications with MD/MS or DM/M.Ch, the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med. Misc. dated 11 June 2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

    11)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (CTVS): An MBBS qualification recognized by Medical Council of India included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned super-specialty i.e., M.Ch (Cardio-Thoracic Surgery) /M.Ch (Thoracic Surgery) or Speciality Board of Thoracic Surgery (USA) or equivalent.  For equivalence of DNB qualifications with MD/MS or DM/M.Ch, the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med. Misc. dated 11 June 2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

    12)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (MICROBIOLOGY): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality i.e., MD (Bacteriology), M.D (Microbiology), MD (Bacteriology with Pathology), M.Sc. (Microbiology) M.Sc. (Bacteriology) or equivalent.

    13)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (NEUROLOGY): An MBBS qualification recognized by Medical Council of India included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned super-speciality i.e., D.M. (Neurology) or Speciality Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (USA) or equivalent. For equivalence of DNB qualifications with MD/MS or DM/M.Ch, the candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med. Misc. dated 11.6.2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.

    14)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e., M.S. (Ortho.), M.Ch. (Ortho.), Speciality Board of Ortho. Surgery (USA) or equivalent.

    15)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PHARMACOLOGY): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D (Pharmacology), MD (Pharmacology and Therapeutics), Ph.D (Pharmacology), D.Sc. (Pharmacology) or equivalent.

    16)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D in Physical Medicine Rehabilitation/Diploma in Physical Medicine Rehabilitation given by National Board of Examination/Two years diploma course in Physical Medicine Rehabilitation after MD(Medicine)/ Ms(surgery)/ MD(Paediatrics)/ MS(Orthopadics) or any other equivalent qualification.

    17)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PREVENTIVE AND SOCIAL MEDICINE): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D (Social Preventive Medicine), MD (Community Medicine), Speciality Board of Social Preventive Medicine (USA) or equivalent.

    18)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (SKIN AND VD): A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D (Dermatology Venereology), MD (Dermatology), MD (Venereology), Speciality Board of Dermatology (USA) or equivalent.

    19)  Assistant Chemist: Master’s Degree in any branch of Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Institution. Or Degree or Diploma conferred by the Associate Institute of Chemist (India) in Chemistry.

    20)  Assistant Engineer Gr. I: Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) or Engineering Degree in Mining or Mechanical or Drilling from a recognized University or Institute.

    21) LECTURER (ANATOMY): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience.( The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973. ) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Anatomy subject recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    22)  LECTURER (Community Medicine): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Community Medicine subject recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    23) LECTURER (Forensic Science): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.  OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Forensic Science subject recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy

    24) LECTURER (Gynaecology): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience.( The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973. ) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Gynaecology subject recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    25) LECTURER (Homeopathic Materia Medica): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.

    26) LECTURER (Homeopathic Pharmacy): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.

    27) LECTURER (Organon of Medicine): Post Graduate qualification Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.)

    28) LECTURER (Pathology): Post Graduate qualification Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Pathology recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    29) LECTURER (Physiology): ESSENTIALA. Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Physiology subject recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    30) LECTURER (Practice of Medicine): Post Graduate qualification Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    31) LECTURER (Repertory): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.

    32) LECTURER (Surgery): Post Graduate qualification in Homeopathy or Degree in Homeopathy with four years of professional experience. (The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.) OR Post Graduate Medical Degree in Surgery recognized by the Medical Council of India with four years professional experience out of which two years as Resident Medical Officer in a Hospital recognized by Medical Council of India/Central Council of Homeopathy.

    33) Professor, Civil Engineering (Technical): B.E. / B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and ME/M.Tech in Structure/ Structure Dynamics with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/ M.Tech. And Ph.D or equivalent with specialization in any area related to Structure/ Structure Dynamics. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D Student is highly desirable.

    34) Professor, Information Technology (Technical): B.E. / B.Tech (ECE) and ME/M.Tech (ECE/IT/CSE) with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/ M.Tech. And Ph.D or equivalent with specialization in any area related to Digital System Design/ Embedded System/ Multimedia Communication/ Sensor Network/ Signal Processing/ Pervasive Computing. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D Student is highly desirable.

    35)  Assistant Public Prosecutor: A degree in Law of a Recognised University or Equivalent.

    Application Fee:

    • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
    • No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

    Selection Process:

    Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written examination/ interview.

    How to Apply:

    • Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in website on or before 29 August 2013.
    • Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
    • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
    • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application before 30 August 2013.
    • Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents if called for interview.
