UPTET 2014 Notification and Exam schedule Announced

    The Uttar Pradesh government declared the next year’s schedule of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET),announced on 6 December 2013. The government order mentioned about the publishing of notification of advertisement on December 10, after which interested candidates can apply.

    The TET test is conducted to determine eligible candidates to get recruited as teaching staff at government primary as well as upper primary schools.The TET - 2014 test dates are scheduled as February 22 and 23. Online application last date is January 6, 2014.

    The Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari will conduct the TET test. The Examination centers will be planned and fixed by January 25. The admit card can be downloaded from February 6 onwards.

    After conduction of the test the answer keys can be obtained and compared online which will be uploaded by the administration. The candidates can seek for the objections if found any in them to further be reviewed.

    The job seekers in primary schoolswill have to solve the question paper consisting questions of total 150 marks. The questions would be on Child nutrition (30 questions of each one mark), Comprehension (30), Hindi grammar (30), language expression (60 questions of each one mark). Essay is no longer in the paper and is replaced by language expression.

    For appointments in junior schools, the question pattern and sections will remain same.

    General category candidates need to secure 60% score while other category needs to obtain 55% score to be qualified in the TET exam.

    To be eligible the candidatemust have a graduation and a post-graduation along with B.Ed degree.
