WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025: West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released the detailed recruitment notification for various teaching posts across the state. As per notice released, the Commission has initiated a fresh selection process to the posts of Assistant Teachers for classes IX and X in Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools and to the Posts of Assistant Teachers for Classes XI and XII in Higher Secondary Schools. The online application process for 2nd SLST (AT), 2025 will be commenced from June 16, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts on or before July 14, 2025-at www.westbengalssc.com.

Selection will be done on the basis of performance of candidates. The written examination will be held in the first week of September, 2025.

A total of 35,726 posts of Assistant Teachers for Upper Primary Level of Classes (except Work Education and Physical Education), Classes IX-X and Classes XI-XII) Rules, 2025 are to be filled through the recruitment drive. Check the details of the vacancy given below

WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025 Eligibility 

Applying candidates should have posts wise required educational qualification as mentioned in the notification. You can go through the table given below for details of the educational qualification-

Teachers (Classes IX and X)

•  Graduate / Post Graduate from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution, or
•  4–year degree of B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.

WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025 Selection Process 

The selection of candidates for the Assistant Teacher posts will be based on five stages as mentioned in the notification. The selection process consists of various rounds including written examination, evaluation of qualifications of the candidates, and Oral interview and lecture demonstration.
