    Marketing Channel stands for a set of practices or activities necessary to transfer the ownership of goods, from the point of production to the point of consumption.

    Five most important flows in marketing channels are as

    1. Product Flow

    Actual physical movement of the product from the manufacturers to the final consumers.

    1. Negotiation Flow

    It symbolizes the interplay of the buying and the selling functions associated with the transfer of title.

    1. Ownership Flow

    It shows the movement of the title to the product as it is passed along from the manufacturer to the consumer.

    1. Information Flow

    It shows the exchange of information through the transportation functions.

    1. Promotion Flow

    It refers to the persuasive communication in the form of advertising, personal selling and publicity.
