Power maharatna NTPC on 30 July 2010 commissioned a 490 mega watt (MW) unit at Dadri thermal power plant. The unit would supply electricity to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games. The plant would distribute 90 per cent of its power to Delhi while the remaining units will stay in Uttar Pradesh. The overall estimation suggests that NTPC reached 32194 MW.
