PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar. On this occasion, he expressed confidence that India will be one of the top three economies of the world in the coming years. UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was the chief guest of the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra on January 12 and address the youth of the country. Sri Lankan Education Minister Dr. Sushil Premajayantha has said that a new campus of IIT Madras will be started in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The proposal was part of the Budget 2024 presented by Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe as Finance Minister. Earlier, IIT-Madras had started its campus in Tanzania in November 2023.

Year 2006, the then Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had announced to celebrate January 10 as World Hindi Day. National Hindi Day is celebrated every year on 14 September.
