MS Dhoni retirement news: MS Dhoni has been trending on twitter ever since Team India's narrow World Cup semi-final loss against New Zealand on 10th July at Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. India was beaten by New Zealand by 18 runs on Wednesday in a heart-breaking finish, which saw India's last hope, MS Dhoni getting run out in the second last over. Despite India’s loss, MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja’s performance was applauded by the team and fans alike. Ever since, twitter has been abuzz with Indian fan tweets requesting the former Indian skipper to not retire amidst his retirement speculations and thanking him for his invaluable contribution to the Indian cricket team.

India were 71/5 when MS Dhoni walked in to bat during India vs New Zealand semi-final 2019 and even then Indian fans were convinced that this man will take India through and Dhoni did exactly that by taking India to 216 runs. The moment when MS Dhoni got out with Martin Guptill’s straight hit on the stumps, was when India lost all its hopes. Dhoni’s reaction following his run out touched the hearts all of the viewers. Indian fans and popular Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to congratulate Dhoni on his brilliant innings. Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar specially tweeted saying that India needs MS Dhoni and urged him to not think about retirement.
