Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the ATP Indian Wells title by defeating Spanish World No. 1 Rafael Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 6-2on 20 March 2011. With the victory he improved his record in the current season to 18-0. Djokovic had captured his 20th career title in February 2011 in Dubai apart from winning the Australian Open in the current season.
In the women’s category Danish professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki defeated Marion Bartoli of France 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 to win the title.
