ISRO to launch own space station by 2030
ISRO, in one of its most ambitious projects, is planning to launch its own space station by 2030. The full details of the mission will be revealed after the successful completion of India’s first manned space mission – Gaganyaan. The weight of ISRO’s own space station is likely to be 20 tonnes. It will be used to conduct microgravity experiments. The ISRO Chairman clarified that India will not join the International Space Station (ISS) but instead build its own.
An-32 aircraft crash has "No Survivors" declares IAF
Indian Air Force (IAF) declared that no one was survived in An-32 aircraft crash. An 8-member team of rescuers was airlifted to the crash site of the IAF's An-32 aircraft in Arunachal Pradesh to look for possible survivors. Air Force found the wreckage of the aircraft in a heavily forested mountainous terrain by an IAF Mi-17 helicopter, eight days after it went missing with 13 people on board on June 3, 2019.

Rishabh Pant, the young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who was initially left out from the 15-member World Cup squad, is being flown in as a cover for injured Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan. Shikhar Dhawan has sustained a fracture on his left thumb, due to which his participation in the cricket world cup has almost been ruled out. Dhawan has sustained a fracture and it might take a month for him to fully recover.
Chandrayaan-2 to be launched on July 15, ISRO releases first image
Chandrayaan-2 will be launched on July 15, 2019 confirmed ISRO Chairman K Sivan on June 12. Chandrayaan-2 will comprise three modules, an orbiter, a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan. The orbiter will have eight payloads, while the Lander and the Rover will have three and two respectively. While the Orbiter, which will have scientific payloads, would orbit the moon, the lander would make a soft landing on the moon at a predetermined site and deploy the Rover.

Thawarchand Gehlot, the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, has been appointed as the new leader of Rajya Sabha. The position was previously occupied by senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley under the first Narendra Modi-led government. An experienced parliamentarian, Gehlot represents the Dalit community in the Bharatiya Janata Party. The ruling party has the responsibility of appointing the Leader of the Rajya Sabha.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is again the only Indian in the Forbes 2019 list of world's highest-paid athletes. The list, announced on June 11, 2019, is topped by Argentinean football star Lionel Messi. Virat Kohli is ranked last on this year’s Forbes list at the 100th spot, down from last year’s 83rd rank, despite an increase of $1m in endorsements. According to the Forbes 2019 list, Virat Kohli earned a total of $25m in the last 12 months, including $21m through endorsements and $4m from salary and winnings, making him the highest paid Indian athlete.
Yuvraj Singh announces retirement from international cricket
Yuvraj Singh retires from international cricket: The legendary all-rounder said that it was time to move forward. Yuvraj Singh had played his last Test in 2012 and ODI and T20 in 2017. The 37-year-old all-rounder stated, "After 25 years in and around the 22 yards and almost 17 years of international cricket on and off, I have decided to move on.” Yuvraj Singh had played an instrumental role in many of India’s big cricketing wins including the 2007 World T20 and the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
