Union Health Minister Harshvardhan on 17 June 2014 gave consent for setting up of the Regional Institute of Paramedical Sciences in AIIMS Bhopal.
A fund of 150 crore rupees will be sanctioned for the institute that will serve people of three states namely Madhya Pradesh, Chattishgarh and Odisha.
This will help provide better health services to every citizen in Madhya Pradesh and it enable MP to present a model before the country in this regard. Besides, the institute will pay attention to preventive care by linking health with education.
