The central government has given temporary approval to the second tiger reserve of Bihar state. This reserve will be established in the Kaimur district of the state. The decision came following a proposal by the Bihar state government and aims to improve wildlife conservation in the area. The Kaimur forests are the largest in Bihar, covering an area of 1,134 square km.
