About April
The fourth month of the year, according to both the Gregorian and Julian calendars, is April. It is believed that April comes from the Latin verb aperire, which means "to open," as it is the month when trees and flowers start to bloom. As the seasonal equivalent of October in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa, it is frequently connected with spring in the Northern Hemisphere and falls in the Southern Hemisphere.
