70th National Film Awards: Check the List of Winners Here

The National Film Awards, originally called the State Awards, were first introduced in 1954. Back then, only the best films in various regional languages were honoured. It wasn't until 1967 that actors and technicians started receiving awards as well. Nargis made history as the first Best Actress winner for her role in Raat Aur Din, while Uttam Kumar took home the Best Actor award that same year for Antony Firingee and Chiriyakhana.

Every actor, every director, and every member of the crew pour their hearts and souls into making the film the best it can be. And these films need to be appreciated for the dedication and hard work that go into creating them.

On August 16, the 70th National Film Awards winners were declared, recognising the outstanding talent and effort put into Indian cinema.

The Feature Film Jury's Rahul Rawail, the Non-Feature Film Jury's Nila Madhab Panda, and the Best Writing on Cinema Jury's Gangadhar Mudalair announced the winners.

In October 2024, the president of India will present these awards. The National Film Awards are a prestigious recognition in the Indian film industry, honouring excellence in various categories such as acting, directing, and writing. The winners of these awards serve as an inspiration to aspiring filmmakers and artists across the country.
