Yashasvi Jaiswal entered an elite list of Indian batsmen to have scored the most runs in test matches during a calendar year during his sublime knock of 84 in the second innings of the 4th Test Match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Melbourne, Australia on 30th December 2024.
With a total aggregate of 1478 runs in 29 innings, Jaiswal is now on the second position in the list of most test runs by an Indian batsman in a calendar year.

Jaiswal surpassed Virender Sehwag's 1462 runs scored in 2008 with his score of 84 in the second innings. This year, Jaiswal has had an excellent performance, scoring three centuries, two double centuries, and nine fifties.
