England (ENG) will take on South Africa (SA) in the 45th match of the Super 8 stage during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The match is scheduled for June 21 (Friday) at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
In their respective opening Super 8 encounters, South Africa continued their unbeaten streak in the tournament, narrowly defeating the USA by 18 runs. Quinton de Kock’s impressive knock of 74 off 40 balls helped the Proteas post a competitive total of 195 runs. Kagiso Rabada shone with the ball, taking 3/18, as South Africa restricted the USA to 176/6.
On the other hand, England secured a convincing victory against co-hosts West Indies by successfully chasing down a target of 181 runs. Phil Salt played a crucial role, scoring an unbeaten 87 off 47 balls, leading England to an eight-wicket win.
