South Africa T20 World Cup Squad 2024: Aiden Markram made history by becoming the first South African Captain to reach a World Cup final.

Markram has extended his unbeaten streak to 10 matches as captain in senior international tournaments, joining Sune Luus among the South African leaders to reach the World Cup finals. Luus accomplished this feat on home turf at the Women's T20 World Cup last year. This was not a lone effort as the whole team worked hard to reach the final for the first time in South Africa's World Cup history.

Ryan Rickelton and Ottniel Baartman are the two uncapped T20I players in the South Africa squad on the back of their SA T20 tournament. Rickelton was the leading run-scorer and amassed an impressive tally of 530 runs at an average of 58.88 and a formidable strike rate of 173.77 for MI Cape Town.
