Following Alauddin Khilji’s death, his 6 year old child prince Shihabuddin was placed on the throne of Delhi Sultanate by Malik Kafur. But Malik Kafur was killed by the nobles. Alauddin’s another son, Mubarak Shah served as the acting regent over his younger brother. He deposed the child prince and seized the throne. However, he couldn’t rule well and soon chaos were everywhere in the empire. Soon he was murdered by his favourite Khusru Khan who sat on the throne of Delhi Sultanate by the name of Sultan Nasiruddin.

Khusru was a Hindu convert who got the whole of Khilji dynasty murdered. But he couldn’t retain the throne for a long time. His 4-month rule came to an end after Ghazi Malik defeated him in the battle and killed him.

Ghazi Malik sat on the throne by the name Ghiyas- ud-Din Tughluq in 1321.
