Kabaddi, which used to be an alley game for Indians, has now turned into a global sensation thanks to Mashal Sports, which came up with the Pro Kabaddi League. Since its inception in 2014, PKL has garnered millions of viewers, coming up only a few short of the IPL (Indian Premier League), and has enjoyed a great fanbase.
Not only does the league provide a big platform for talented players to showcase their skills and abilities on a national level, but has also produced some exceptional talents who have become the stars of the sport. These stars have consistently topped the charts in all seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League and have easily become fan favourites.
Just like there are batsmen and bowlers in cricket, there are two major types of players in kabaddi- raiders and defenders.
Raiders are the players who enter the opposing team’s court and try to touch as many opponents as possible. On the other hand, defenders are those players who are tasked with stopping the opponent team’s raiders.
