Indian Maritime University Admission process 2019 is about to begin for admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate courses at its official website, imu.edu.in. In order to take admission to any of the programmes of IMU, candidates will have to appear for online Common Entrance Test (CET), and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 1, 2019, between 11 am to 2 pm. The IMU CET registration process will begin from April 1, 2019, and will end on May 5, 2019. Nevertheless, candidates can fill the application forms until May 8, 2019. Interested candidates can apply at the official website of Indian Maritime University. In the meantime, there will be no common entrance test for BBA programme, and BBA applicants will be accepted separately. Interested candidates can apply for BBA before June 5, 2019.
Indian Maritime University: Exam pattern
The IMU CET for undergraduate programmes will comprise 200 MCQs based on general aptitude, English, chemistry, physics, and mathematics of class 12th level. In addition, there will be 120 MCQs on data interpretation, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and verbal ability for the MBA programme. The exam pattern for MTech programme will include 120 MCQs from the subjects of mathematics, English and one of naval, mechanical engineering, marine engineering, architecture or civil engineering subject. The exam is going to be conducted in a single shift across 36 cities, and there is no provision of negative marking in this exam.
Indian Maritime University: Counselling
Candidates who qualify the CET exams will get to choose the preferred programme and campus of their choice. Moreover, a counseling fee of Rs. 10,000 needs to be paid through online mode. Candidates will be assigned respective seats as per the rank obtained by them. Further, candidates will have to pay Rs. 25, 000 on confirming a seat.
