CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Result 2022 (Declared): Following the declaration of CBSE 12th Result 2022, the Board released the detailed notification confirming sharing of Performance of Students with Schools. Here’s what the circular actually says?

CBSE 12th Term 1 Result 2022 Declared: CBSE Board announced the Term 1 Results for Class 12 students on 19th March 2022 during late evening hours. The declaration of the CBSE 12th Class Result was done by the board in offline mode with the Performance of Students being shared directly with the schools only. This means that students can get to know their CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Results only by contacting their school authorities and not on official portals – cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

Following the declaration of CBSE Term 1 Result for 12th Class students, the board had also released an official notification confirming that Performance of Students has been communicated directly to the schools in the form of subject-wise marks. Students can click on the direct link provided below to reach the official circular released by the Board regarding the performance of students. However, some points are not clearly explained in the circular and have caused some confusion among the students. To answer some of the common questions that students might have about CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Results, the official circular has been decoded below.

What is the Performance of Students in term 1 Class 12 Exams Shared by Board with Schools?

According to the official notice, the Board has released only Theory Exam marks to the respective schools as part of the Performance of Students for Class 12 Term 1 Exam. As per the information shared by a few schools, the performance of students has been shared in a common document which contains subject-wise marks scored by students in Term 1 Exam. Do Marks Shared with Schools include Internal Assessment Marks?

The official circular shared by CBSE clearly mentions that the marks shared by it to the schools are only the outcome of their theoretical performance. The marks or score mentioned in the Performance of Students Sheet shared by the board contains scores secured by students based on the scanning of OMR Sheets. The marks shared by the board are only for those subjects for which the centralized exam was held. For subjects where the assessment was carried out by the respective schools, marks uploaded by the school will be considered as final.

Term 1 Exam which was held in Nov-Dec months is only the first leg of the overall CBSE Class 12 Exam 2022. Therefore, no mark sheets or passing certificates will be issued by the board for the same. In fact, the board has also notified that no student will be declared as either passed or failed in the CBSE 12th Term 1 Result, as the final result will be compiled only on the basis of the combined score of term 1, term 2 and internal assessment as well as practical exams.

What is the weightage of Term 1 Marks in the Final CBSE 12th Result 2022?

Many misleading reports are doing rounds claiming that CBSE 12th Term 1 Result will carry 50% weightage in the compilation of final results. However, this is completely untrue. The weightage of Term 1 and Term 2 Exams for the CBSE Board has not been decided by the board and will be finalized only after Term 2 Exams are concluded.

Will the CBSE Term 2 Exam be held at schools or independent exam centres?

As per the CBSE circular, the Board will be holding the Term 2 Exam in offline mode at dedicated exam centres for all the students. No students will be appearing for the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exams at their own school.

When will CBSE 12th Term 1 Compartmental Exams be held?

As mentioned above, CBSE will not declare any student as passed or failed on the basis of their performance in the Term 1 Exam alone. Therefore, currently, no student has been put in the compartmental result category. Once the final result for CBSE 12th Exam is compiled, candidates will be placed in the essential repeat/compartment/ pass category etc. Students should keep in mind that the compartmental exams will be held as per the syllabus of the Term 2 Exam.

What to do in case of errors in CBSE 12th Term 1 Answer Key?

According to the circular shared by the board, CBSE has taken due care to prepare CBSE 12th Term 2 Result Answer Keys. The circular also mentions that wherever needed, the board has taken into consideration the revised marking scheme and awarded marks for dropped questions in a suitable manner.

What is Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism for CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022?

For students, who feel that their answer sheets have not been evaluated fairly or those who feel that marks awarded to them have calculation errors or any problem; the board has launched Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism for term 2 examinations. However, students should note that disputes will be decided along with a verification schedule after the declaration of term 2 results.

What about students who were caught Cheating or Using Unfair Means?

For such students, the board will decide the final course of action only after Term 2 Exam. Currently, such students are allowed to appear for the Term 2 exams scheduled to be held in April.

What about absent students who couldn’t appear for CBSE 12th Term 1 Exam?

For students who missed the CBSE 12th Term 1 Exam, the board will not be holding any re-exam. Instead, their performance will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in Term 2 Exam only.
