Education Minister’s Webinar Postponed: As per the latest update, the Webinar that was to be addressed by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has been postponed. As per the new schedule announced, #EducationMinisterGoesLive Webinar in which Mr Pokhriyal will hold live interaction with students and parents is scheduled now to be held on 10th December 2020.
Postponed for More Queries from Students
Education Minister took to twitter to confirm the postponement of webinar from its earlier scheduled date of 3rd December 2020 by another 7-days. The tweet read ““Students, we know you have tons of questions related to upcoming competitive/board exams! In order to make sure that we cover most of your concerns, we have decided to extend the date of the webinar to Dec 10. Till then keep sharing your concerns using #EducationMinisterGoesLive!”
Webinar Awaited by Students
The #EducationMinisterGoesLive!” is one of the most eagerly awaited webinars to be held by Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in recent times. With COVID-19 pandemic forcing schools to remain closed for this entire year; students and parents wanted to put forth several queries about the resumption of schools for in-person classes, tentative dates or schedule for Board Exams and also details about other professional courses examination such as MBA and JEE 2020. However, now with the postponement, students will have wait another 7 days more to get answers to their questions.
Stakeholders to be Consulted Before Final Decision
Earlier last week, Education Minister had said that the competitive and board exams would be conducted next year only after proper consultation with students, teachers and parents. Prior to that, Mr Pokhriyal had invited suggestions and feedback from parents and teachers, about their concerns regarding the conduct of board and competitive exams in 2021. On similar lines, the education ministry is also expected to launch a campaign to hear feedback from education stakeholders.
