FET 2021: NBE Postpones Fellowship Entrance Test, Check Revised Dates Here

FET 2021: As per the latest updates, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) for 2021-2022 admission. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must note that the FET 2021 has been postponed to 11th January 2022. The official notice has been released on the official site of NBE on natboard.edu.in. The NBE, in an official notice, said, “In continuation of NBEMS notice dated 23.07.2021 and pursuant to the deferment of NEET-SS 2021 to January 2022, the conduct of Fellowship Entrance test for 2021-2022 admission session stands deferred to 11th January 2022.” FET 2021 is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for admission to Fellow of National Board (FNB) courses of 2021 admission session.

FET 2021 Postponement

FET 2021 has been rescheduled due to the postponement of the NEET SS 2021 exam, the NBEMS said. The board further added that “...Pursuant to the deferment of NEET-SS 2021 to January 2022, the conduct of Fellowship Entrance test for 2021- 2022 admission session stands deferred to 11th January 2022.” The Centre had earlier postponed NEET SS 2021 to January. The exam was originally planned to be conducted in a new pattern.

About Fellowship Entrance Test 2021

Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various Fellowship (FNB) courses of the National Board of Examinations. The exam is conducted in computer-based mode at various exam centres across the country and also at international centres.

The Fellowship courses of NBE are offered to International students also under FPIS (Fellowship Programme for International Students). Applicants from countries other than India shall be eligible for admission to FNB seats earmarked for FPIS, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria available on the official brochure.

Postponement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Super Specialty (NEET SS)

Earlier, the NBEMS also postponed NEET SS 2021 and revised the schedule of registration. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2021 will now be held on 10th January 2022. The decision has been taken by the government of India in consultation with National Medical Commission and NBEMS. Afterwards, the ongoing NEET SS 2021 registration has been put on hold. Now, the NEET SS 2021 registration window for submission of online application will open on 1st November at 3 pm.
