ICSE, ISC Board Exams 2020 Postponed until 31st March, Revised Schedule to be announced by CISCE

ICSE Exam Postponed ICSE, ISC Board Exams 2020 Postponed: The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination has postponed the class 10 and 12 Board examinations 2020. The examinations for the ICSE Board Class 10 and 12 students have been postponed until March 31, 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. The Board released a notification after a statement was made by the Chief executive and Secretary of the CISE, Gerry Arathoon yesterday which mentioned that the examinations will not be postponed. 

However, considering the present scenario around the outbreak of COVID-19 in several states of the country, a final decision to postpone exams was taken in a council meeting held on the morning of 19th March 2020. Similar to other boards, CISCE Board will also announce revised dates for the ICSE and ISC Exam 2020 at a later date after 31st March 2020.

Exam Cancelled after MRHD Order

The MHRD has issued a notification which advised the cancellation of all the on-going Board examinations due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. In order to avoid any confusion, the CISE Board Secretary issued a statement to the Press Trust of India confirming that the ICSE 10th Examinations have not been postponed and will be conducted as per the schedule. 

Impact of COVID-19 on Education

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered most of the institutions to postpone their examinations while classes for students have also been shut until March 31, 2020, in several states in the country. 

According to reports, the CBSE has also postponed the pending examinations for the Class 10 and 12 students due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. The notification regarding the rescheduling of the on-going examinations after March 31, 2020, was released by the CBSE Board Secretary Anurag Tripathy.

The Notification also stated that the rescheduled examinations for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 students in Northeast Delhi have also been further rescheduled.
