JEE Main 2021 Dates Not Final Yet, says Education Ministry, Information Brochure withdrawn from NTA's Website

JEE Main 2021 Dates Not Fixed: Much to the disappointment of then students, the Union Education Ministry has informed that dates for JEE Main 2021 exam have not been finalized yet. The clarification from the ministry comes following release of JEE Main Information Brochure which was released today i.e. 15th December 2020 on the official website of NTA. JEE Main 2021 Dates Not Fixed Yet: Much to the disappointment of then students, the Union Education Ministry has informed that dates for JEE Main 2021 exam have not been finalized yet. The clarification from the ministry comes following release of JEE Main Information Brochure which was released today i.e. 15th December 2020 on the official website of NTA. Following the clarification, NTA has withdrawn the JEE Main 2021 Information Brochure from its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main in 4 Rounds / Attempts

According to the information available on the NTA’s JEE Main 2021 official website; the engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be held in four rounds this year. Keeping in mind the large number of engineering aspirants and also the threat of the pandemic; the National Testing Agency plans to hold JEE Main 2021 in four attempts – one in each month starting from Feb / March / April and May 2021. Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishnak’ had also hinted about the same in his direct interaction with the students on 10th December 2020.

Clarity Needed on Exam Dates, Languages

According to the information brochure released by the NTA, the JEE Main 2021 engineering entrance exam’s first round was to be held in February 2021. The registration process for the same had started today online via official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, along with withdrawal of information brochure, the link to candidate registration portal has also been removed. Moreover, the JEE Main 2021 information brochure also mentioned that exam would be held in over 13 regional languages this year. Now, it will also have to be reconfirmed after the brochure is re-uploaded on the website.

Clarification Awaited from Education Ministry / NTA

The information about JEE Main Dates not being fixed yet has been shared by a leading media agency and jagranjosh.com is independently trying to verify the same.
