Fee Should Be Hiked for Students Capable of Paying Them
Bihar Based Mathematician is founder of Super 30 initiative which prepares under- privileged students to crack the IIT entrance exams. Answering a query about the going JNU Fee Hike Protests, Kumar said “I feel (hiked) fees should be applicable to those who are capable of paying them. The rich and those who have no dearth of money should pay the (hiked) fees. Consideration should be made for those who are talented but needy."
He also added that government and university administration should come up with more instruments or tools to support poor but meritorious students. He also added that scholarships and other forms of financial assistance must be extended to the students to ensure that students who are needy but talented are not denied opportunity to study in a good education institution.
